Russ Rentler

Russ is an award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist performing original music on multiple stringed instruments including autoharp, guitar, hammered and mountain dulcimer, mandolin, fiddle, viola, clawhammer banjo, dobro and ukulele.

He has recorded six albums and one of his songs was featured on NPR’s Cartalk. He regularly performs with folk legend, John Gorka and played mandolin for his Gypsy Life DVD.

In 2019 he won first and second place in the Deep South Dulcimer Contest for mountain and hammered dulcimer and also won the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest in Washington, DC for his hammered dulcimer instrumental, Planxty Fluharty.

SingOut magazine has called him a “gifted songwriter and a fine musician.”
