Arc Fresno is proud that 2007 marks our 54th year of providing an array of services to citizens with developmental disabilities throughout Fresno County. Arc Fresno was founded in 1953 by a group of parents who wanted to create more opportunities and life experiences for their children with developmental disabilities. Their vision and passionate dedication has grown into an organization that serves over 550 developmentally disabled adults through nine diverse programs.
Arc Fresno is committed to enriching the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities by providing and developing an array of opportunities designed to maximize their potential as members of the community.
The Fresno County Office of Education – Migrant Education, Region IV has a strong partnership with ARC-Fresno. Each year, the good folks at ARC-Fresno assemble nearly 15,000 “Continuous Learning Packets (CLPs)” for the benefit of the migrant students for each summer. These well-developed packets provide mathematics, reading, and writing assignments for the kids to do during the long summer recess.
The California Autoharp Gathering is proud to sponsor ARC-Fresno with a check for their program’s participants to get much needed office equipment and for field experiences for their workers.
